The E46 model brings us joy, whenever we have the opportunity to work on it. It has taken place in our heart through its features and for how easy it can be to walk and modify something to it.
Today, I had to replace the front axle flanges and, on this occasion, I discovered a broken damper, which the owner will fix on the first occasion.
This car was also replaced with anti-rust and one arm on the right side, otherwise the owner complained about the sounds heard when he crossed the tram tracks and the small bumps and pits.
After replacing these parts, the direction was improved, the owner confessing that the car is firmer when cornering.
Returning to the flanks, they were cracked and very worn out, as they beat each turn, which made the owner discover this sound. After replacing all these worn parts the car runs flawlessly without beatings or other noises.
The work itself did not last for more than 30 minutes, requiring a minimum of equipment and tools. To remove the flanges, the shock absorber press was needed, this being the basic equipment for this work, we do not recommend trying to change the flanges without the press, as accidents could result in serious physical injuries.
The bumps were removed from the shock absorber, the silencer was removed from the muffler, then the flange was replaced; then the operation was resumed.
It was an easy job thanks to the training and experience of the mechanics from bForce Motor Squad.
